#6: enlightened travellers
if you don’t know about poverty until you fly in to mumbai personally and smell it on your sandals, you’re an idiot. it’s great that you’re not an idiot anymore, that’s great, but some other people have watched the news at any given point, or read a book, and really don’t need to be told that a lot of the rest of the world sucks.
they also don’t have to be told that there are ways to be happy without money, which you now know since you’ve witnessed a dirty child with no shoes kicking a ball of rags.
